Melanie Hill, a pre-licensed Couple and Family Therapist, has a Master’s Degree in Couple and Family Therapy and is in process of obtaining licensure. She has experience in couple, individual and family therapy, helping her clients navigate anxiety, depression and a wide range of relationship issues. She has a background in mentoring university students in leadership and interpersonal skills, academic, relational and mental health issues. Melanie also has extensive experience as a volunteer counsellor and advisor with teens and young adults, and in student government and other leadership roles.
Melanie is excited to be working with couples and families, using Emotionally Focused Therapy, the most effective approach for healing relationship distress and for helping partners restore their connection and repair old wounds. She receives clinical supervision from Isabel Melo, director of the centre and a seasoned therapist with over 20 years’ experience in individual, couple and family therapy. An insightful, compassionate clinician, Melanie believes in the healing power of connection and in people’s innate capacity for growth and change.
