An associate with Couple and Family Therapy Montreal, Alissa Singerman has a Master’s degree in Social Work, is a licensed clinical social worker and has advanced training in couple and family therapy. She has a strong academic background in psychology, including as a research assistant in an anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorder study, and has worked with clients in an addiction treatment centre and with parents and children in a youth social service centre.

Alissa’s passion lies in working with couples and families, using Emotionally Focused Therapy, the most effective approach for healing relationship distress. She has experience working with a diverse clientèle of all ages and who struggle with a wide range of issues, including infidelity, extended family issues, conflict and loss of connection and transition to parenthood.
