Nesma Etoubashi, an associate with Couple and Family Therapy Montreal, holds a PhD in applied school/child psychology and is currently completing the requirements to obtain her license with the Order of Psychologists of Quebec. She has a background in educational and clinical settings, providing individual and group interventions to children and teens with special needs, conducting psychoeducational assessments regarding school readiness, learning challenges and attentional difficulties. Nesma has also provided individual therapy to students aged 6 to 17 and co-facilitated social-skill and friendship-building groups for children in the upper grades of elementary school.
Today Nesma offers child-centered play therapy (CCPT) to children aged 3 to 11, in close collaboration with parents, as well as art- and verbal-based interventions to tweens and teens. She works with a variety of issues, including social and generalized anxiety, selective mutism, grief, impulsivity and emotional regulation.
